Last night as the clock was ticking towards midnight, I still had a paint brush in my hand and my family was LONG asleep, I couldn't help but think of FAMILY in general.
We have been fortunate in our lives not to have gone through separations, tragedies, affairs, etc. In today's society it seems marriage is not taken seriously anymore. Drive thru Vegas weddings, drive thru divorces, arranged weddings, "baby on the way "weddings, etc...you get the picture. Think about it people, marriage it not a JOKE!!
I was truly blessed to have a wonderful wedding and able to plan it with my family around me to support Jay & I. We have had our hard times, good times and "what the hell were we thinking" times but we still love and cherish our marriage and what we have made it. Everyday I fall in love with Jay all over again, even though most days it might not seem that way!! I say and do different things just so he knows it. I am fortunate that I am able to stay home and raise our family.
FAMILY...there, now for the real story.
As I am posting my newest post for the week (or month?!) I am really wishing for just a few moments with my family. Just to have the quick drive to their houses just to pop in to say "hi". That is the one part about being so far away. As for now, when we do see them, we make the most of it, even though it can be really intense at some moments!
So for today's thoughts, THINK about family, marriage and what it really means to you.
