My "swim the lake" partner Karen and I went out of our comfort zones and decided to see what the Masters Swm Club was all about. WOW, were we blown away...literally!
It was like an episode of Glee with coach Susie Sylvester. The club was a bunch of hard core women swimmers of ALL ages and sizes. The coach....well, she was as serious as serious gets drill sargaent type. She only cracked a smile when we were supposed to do some crazy swim for 100m and told us to wipe off our puppy dog faces. Ok, now I am thinking what did we get into.......but, she was AWESOME!! We ALMOST kept up with the pros....it will take a lot of hard work and endurance but this lady is ready for the Olympics!! Well, not quite, swimming across Lake Okanagan is our goal!! Wish me luck because I will need it :-)
