Life After Christmas

And so it goes, my life after Christmas. Trying to get back into a routine after being in Winkler and Winnipeg for over 10 days. I loved seeing all my friends and relatives. Being so far away from them makes me love them that much more!!
Sarah was probably the worst getting back to routine....when she cried at night, my mom would get her out of her bed and snuggle with her until she fell asleep. So what happens when we get home.....she cries and I REFUSE to get up becuase I KNOW she can comfort herself to sleep. But the crying turns into blood curdling screams. I get my butt out of bed and snuggle with her but it doesn't work......all she wants is Grams!! So after a few nights of this she finally gets it.....GRAMS IS NOT HERE!! It's funny how kids know what they want, even when they are hundred of miles away! Now that I am caught up on sleep and can think clearly again, it is quite a cute story!
THe boys did great too, they hit their pillows and they were out. I did too, the day after we got back I slept until 9:30, which is techically 11:30 in Manitoba. So I got some much needed rest from the holidays!
So, 2 extra suitcases later (Santa brought WAY too much for us), we are at home and into our usual routine. Jay's busy tax season has finally started (a bit of sarcasim here ok>??) I am trying to get a few kids for an after school care on the go but seems to be the wrong time of year for new recruits!! I will try in summer just before the mad rush of school. Speaking of school, I got Aiden registered for Kindergarten in the fall. I can't believe I will have 2 kids in school. It's a good thing, I need a break.
We all need a break from time to time. It's just human nature. WE need to find out who we are as an individual. That is why God gave us peace and quiet!
I am truly blessed even though my days are filled with a husband, 3 kids and soon to be...our new Pup named Piper!
